About the Event
Start time is scheduled for 4:30 pm with judging to commence at 5:00 pm, however this may be delayed slightly for the Best in Show Judging for the Waimarkariri Show if any of our entrants are required for the In Show judging.
Show includes compulsory written critiques of top 3 place winners in each class which will be published and publicly available for download on the DCC website.
Online entries via Dogs NZ website. Paper entries may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to PO Box 638, Rangiora, 7440. Online payments can be made to 03-1592-0061353-000. Please use your last name and “SHOWENTRY” as the reference.
No late entries will be accepted.
By entering this show, all competitors agree to the following:
Critiques are compulsory for top dogs 3 in each class and will be published on the Dominion Chihuahua Club website when available with no exceptions.
Event will be live-streamed by the club. No other video is permitted.
I. Team Class
For three or more exhibits (either sex or mixed) of one breed or variety belonging to the same exhibitor either wholly or in co-ownership.
J. Bred and Owned
For two or more exhibits which must have been bred by and currently owned by the exhibitor. 13 K. Parent and Progeny Not less than two, excluding sire or dam to enter this class. The sire or dam if over the age of seven years need not have been entered in any breed class.
To include a minimum of five and not more than eight exhibits, one to be a grandparent, at least two to be the direct offspring of that exhibit and the remainder to be the issue of one or more of the aforementioned offspring. Any exhibit, if over the age of seven years need not have been entered in any breed class.
M. Breeders Stakes
Open to Breeders of any one breed, three to a maximum of five dogs or bitches not necessarily owned by the breeder but must carry the one kennel name. Any exhibit, if over the age of seven years need not have been entered in any breed class.
Diana L. Skibinski has been a dog lover since birth and a Dalmatian fancier since 1978. She has owned, bred and shown numerous Dalmatians under the Folklore prefix to major awards at All Breed Shows, Regional Specialty Shows and at the Dalmatian Club of America National Specialty Show.
Diana is an active member of the Dalmatian Club of America since 1983. She served two terms on the Board of Governors and has held the office of Vice President plus Recording Secretary. Diana is the past Chair of the DCARE Committee (Dalmatian Club of America Rescue Education), the Chair of the ROM/ROMX Committee, and is the current Chair of the Judges Education Committee. A longtime member of the Chicagoland Dalmatian Club and the Dalmatian Club of Greater Indianapolis who has served in numerous capacities.
Diana and her husband Robert bred a top winning Dalmatian named Champion Folklore’N’Firesprite Wm Tell ROMX. He sired beautiful litters where she visited and evaluated the puppies. This led to her interest in judging. Diana was approved to judge the Dalmatian in 1998 and is currently approved for the Non Sporting Group, Best in Show, All Breed Junior Showmanship, and Chihuahuas and Japanese Chins. Diana has had the honor of judging Intersex and Dogs at the Dalmatian Club of America in 2017. She also has judged Local Specialties in both Chihuahua and Japanese Chin. She is Canine Good Citizen Evaluator #39 and the American Kennel Club Delegate for Lake Shore Kennel Club located in Hammond, Indiana.
Diana retired from teaching elementary school in 2015 after successfully teaching elementary school and reading for 35 year. She is excited for the opportunity to judge the Dalmatians and Chihuahuas in beautiful New Zealand this upcoming October.
